Ishfaq Ahmad

Ishfaq Ahmad is a researcher specializing in social exclusion, reservation policies, and ethnic movements in Jammu and Kashmir. His work focuses on marginalized communities, exploring how socio-economic inequalities impact ethnic mobilization. Using ethnographic qualitative methods, Ishfaq has contributed to projects on domestic violence and legal issues affecting women in the region. He has also conducted limited research on violence and human rights in the region. Ishfaq has published papers on social exclusion and reservation policies, and presented at conferences in his field. Currently, he is exploring the intersection of applied spirituality and public policy, contextualizing Sufi traditions to address contemporary challenges and bridge ancient wisdom with modern governance approaches.
