Professor (Dr.) Ora-orn Poocharoen
Head of Policy Engagement and Grassroots Advocacy - Thailand
Dr. Ora-orn Poocharoen is the Director of the School of Public Policy at Chiang Mai University, Thailand. She served on the Committee of Experts for Public Administration (CEPA) for the United Nations from 2018 to 2021. Her research interests includes foresight, public management, comparative policy and administration, and policy analysis. Her work has been published in leading journals, including the Journal of Comparative Policy Analysis, Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory, and Public Management Review. Dr. Poocharoen holds a PhD from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. She also spent eight years, as a faculty member, at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. Recently, her research focuses on the intersection of spirituality, climate action, policy, and futures thinking.
