Rajlakshmi Kadam

Rajlakshmi Kadam is currently a PhD scholar at the Jindal School of Government and Public Policy (JSGP). She has been serving in the Indian Revenue Service as an Additional Commissioner in Mumbai since 2010. Her extensive career includes roles such as Deputy Chief Executive Officer at the Department of Rural Development for the Maharashtra Government (2009-2010), Sales Tax Inspector in Maharashtra (2007-2008), a lecturer in English at Rajaram College, Kolhapur (2003-2004), and a journalist with Lokmat, a daily Marathi newspaper (2006-2007).

Rajlakshmi holds a Master's degree in English Literature from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from TMV Pune, and a Master's degree in Public Administration from IGNOU. Her academic and professional journey reflects a deep commitment to public service and education.

Her research interests focus on applied spirituality and sustainable development, dimensions of policy making, and water management policy. Rajlakshmi's PhD research explores the impact of spiritual values on the effectiveness and sustainability of water management policies in India. She aims to highlight the interconnectivity between the inner and outer dimensions of policy making, emphasizing the importance of incorporating spiritual aspects into the development and implementation of sustainable policies.
